Friends of the Earth Europe publishes a report on EU's land footprint

Friends of the Earth Europe (www.foeeurope.org) is a network in Europe, uniting more than 30 national organisations with thousands of local groups. They campaign on today’s most urgent environmental and social issues, challenging the current model of economic and corporate globalization, and promoting solutions that will help to create environmentally sustainable and socially just societies.

Their last report entitled “The true cost of consumption: the EU's land footprint” shows why the EU has a responsibility in putting efforts towards measuring, monitoring and reducing its global Land Footprint, and how this could be supported by using policy tools and other initiatives.
